Billing Profiles
A billing profile is a billing identity you keep in your Komashi account — a name, country, VAT number, and address that appears on the invoices for your subscriptions. You can keep several (for example a personal one and a company one) and choose which profile each subscription is billed to.
Open Billing Profiles from the user menu in the storefront.
Create a billing profile
- Open the user menu and choose Billing Profiles.
- Click New billing profile.
- Fill in the billing details: name, country, VAT number, address, and any note.
- Save it.
Each profile keeps its own subscriptions and invoices, so they stay organized separately.
Choose a profile when subscribing
When you subscribe to a service, you pick which billing profile the subscription is billed to. Your subscriptions and invoices are attached to that profile — a customer can hold subscriptions across different providers, grouped by the billing profile used.
Share a billing profile
You can share a billing profile with other users so they can use or manage it. Shared users get access rights depending on the role you assign them. This is how a subscription can effectively be shared between people — see Can I share my subscription with someone else?.
A billing profile is a customer-side identity — it is not the same as a provider. Providers are the businesses that sell services; a billing profile is how you, as a customer, are billed. Providers manage their own legal billing details separately.
