Provider Fees

This guide explains how Komashi pricing works for service providers, including the free usage tier and the tier-based fee calculation model.

Key message

You only pay if your customer paid. Fees are charged monthly in arrears — the money reaches you first. No upfront investment required. You can start immediately.

Komashi is not involved in the money flow. Your Komashi fee is invoiced to you separately and is never deducted from your customers' payments. It is a software platform fee, not a payment-processing charge — the payment provider charges its own fees under its own terms.

The binding rates are the ones in Komashi's Fee Schedule — see the Provider Fee Schedule, which is Schedule 1 to the Provider Terms. If this page, the pricing page, or the calculator ever disagrees with the Fee Schedule, the Fee Schedule applies.

1. Free Usage Tier – 10 Largest Invoices per Month​

Every provider receives a monthly free tier:

  • The 10 highest-value invoices each month are processed free of charge
  • No registration fee
  • No monthly subscription fee

This means providers with low invoicing volume can use Komashi completely free, with no time limit.

The free tier applies to your 10 largest invoices by gross value, not just any 10. Smaller invoices below those are subject to fees. The exemption is applied automatically at the end of the billing period.

2. Tier-Based Pricing Above the Free Limit​

If a provider exceeds the monthly free limit, fees are calculated based on annual revenue tiers.

Key points:

  • The percentage fee applies only to invoices above the free tier
  • You only pay if your customer paid — unpaid and failed invoices carry no fee
  • Fees decrease as annual revenue increases
  • The pricing model scales with business growth
  • The annual revenue period runs from January 1 to December 31
  • Each month starts on the 1st at 00:00 in the time zone set in Settings → Basic → Timezone
  • If you cross into a new revenue band during the month, the new rate applies for that entire month
  • Fees are always charged monthly in arrears

This is a single platform commission. Where a partner referred you, Komashi pays that partner from its own share — the rate you pay is the same either way.

Refunds and cancellations​

A refund or cancellation reduces or reverses your commission only if it is requested and processed through the Platform. If you handle a refund outside Komashi, the commission on that invoice has already accrued and remains payable.

3. Billing Cycle​

  • Your Komashi fee is calculated monthly and billed on the 3rd of each month, covering the previous month
  • Komashi sends at least one payment reminder before any blocking
  • If an invoice is still unpaid 10 days after the invoice date, your account is blocked
  • Reactivation costs nothing extra — pay the outstanding amount and your account is unblocked
What blocking means

While your account is blocked, all Komashi services for your provider are switched off and your services are treated as expired toward your customers. You remain solely responsible for your customers and your own operations during that time. Keep your billing details up to date to avoid this.

Once you have paid Komashi at least once, Komashi charges your Fees automatically to the payment method you registered.

4. Loyalty Program​

After 3 years of continuous active use, your fees drop automatically to the loyalty rates in the table above — no request needed.

Your rate is locked for 3 years

If Komashi raises its rates, the increase applies only to providers who register after it takes effect. If you were already a customer, you keep your existing rates for 3 years from the date the increase takes effect.

5. Referral Code​

If you registered using a partner's referral code, you pay nothing extra. You owe a single platform commission to Komashi at the rates above. Komashi pays the referring partner separately, out of its own revenue — no part of your fee is collected or held on the partner's behalf, and you owe the partner nothing.

6. Calculate Your Fee​

The calculator shows your estimated fee and which pricing band you fall into. Fees start from 5.50% and decrease as your revenue grows.

The calculator provides an estimate only. Exact amounts depend on your currency and may change. The binding rates are in the Provider Fee Schedule — Schedule 1 governs over the pricing page and the calculator alike, so where they disagree, the Schedule wins.
